The year 2021-22

  • Heal Day Celebrations 2022

On this special day, our school’s open auditorium main stage was completely decorated with lights and flowers. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Sri Peruri Suryanarayana Rao, Senior Divisional Manager, LIC of India, Divisional Office, Machilipatnam who is our chief guest.

The program began with Heal school prayer. After that, the students of different classes performed various programs. Students from all classes participated in this program. First of all, the children of Junior most class performed a beautiful group dance program called WELCOME & Classical dance & Folk dance & pyramid performances were held on that day.

Sri Peruri Suryanarayana Rao motivated children to aim at bright future by utilizing the resources that are available at Heal Paradise. He announced that LIC Golden Jubilee foundation is going to sanction a grant of Rs. 25,00,000/- towards Infrastructure Development for Navatna Siromani Bellam Health Centre at Heal Paradise i.e., to purchase Skanray 100 MA X Ray, Konica Minolta Cd 10 Pro & Fuji CR System

  • Sports achievements

The Heal Taekwondo teams both boys and girls participated in Krishna district Taekwondo championship held at IGMC stadium, VIJAYAWADA conducted by District Sports Authority, Krishna under the auspices of Sports Authority of AP.

The Heal team won 9 medals in total. 5 silver & 4 Bronze. Ms.Mounika, team coach and manager, took the initiative to participate in the tournament. We appreciated the players of Heal for their wonderful performance in a rare sport like Taekwondo & winning medals at district level.

Our Heal teams participated in the Basketball 3 on 3 tournament for U-14 & U 16 boys & Girls at Bloomingdale international school, Vijayawada on 26th of march 2022.  Our coach Ms. Nagadurga trained and took them to competitions. They got the following prizes

  • Co-curricular achievements

Heal students also participated in so many activities like Folk dance, Singing, Craft, best out of waste, Telugu & English essay writing, drawing etc.., in Amaravathi Balotsav 2022. They have so many Practical, social, educational, and closing benefits. Children got 3rd place in Telugu elocution, 2nd place in Clay modeling and 1st place in Story writing.

They also got participation certificates for cultural event. The performance overall is satisfactory at Amaravathi Balostsav 2022.

  • Academic activity during Q4
  • Internal final academic examinations
    • For Primary classes 1 to 5 internal academic year final exams were held from 12-03-2022 to 18-03-2022. Results were declared and children promoted to next class.
    • For Secondary classes 6 to 8 5 internal academic year final exams were held from 12-03-2022 to 19-03-2022. Children were given time for revision of topics and preparation. Results were declared and children promoted to next class.
    • For classes 9 and 11 internal academic year final exams were held separately from 02-03-2022 to 08-03-2022.
    • CBSE board external practical examinations for class 10 and 12 were conducted from 08-03-2022 to 21-03-2022. CBSE board appointed external examiners to monitor the practical exams.
    • Term 2 public examinations for class 10 and 12 are scheduled in the months of May and June 2022.
  • COVID-19 vaccination

As per the government of India instructions heal school children of ages 15 to 18 years and 12 to 14 years taken COVID-19 vaccine. We have informed all the parents regarding the importance of vaccination and Our resident Nurse spoke to some of the parents to clear thei doubts regarding vaccination. We have conducted special vaccination drives at our heal paradise campus. 240 children of age 15 to 18 years and 110 children of age 12 to 14 years given vaccine during this program. Teaching and non-teaching staff at Heal Paradise were given booster dose covid-19 vaccine.

  • Celebrations at Heal Paradise
  • Sankranti Festival

Children celebrated the first day of the festival called Bhogi by dancing and singing folk songs around the fire. Sugar cane, coconuts are also offered on this day. The last day of the festival is called Pongal. Pongal festival is the most awaited festival which is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Everyone at our campus praises and worships God for everything that he provides.

  • Republic Day

On the auspicious morning of 26th Jan 2022, our Heal school celebrated Republic Day in the Primary school Kalavedika. It was a matter of great pride for all of us. Needless to say, the whole school had worn the appearance of a beautiful bride.

Dr K Srinadh, from Vijayawada was the chief guest. He motivated the children to become good citizens of India by having a bright future.

  • Organic farming is in full swing At Heal Paradise. The seeds that were planted in October last year are now yielding vegetables like brinjal, tomato, green chillies, cabbage, radish, bitter guard, bottle guard, ridge guard and lettuce, other leafy vegetables, using neem oil and other organic fertilizers.

The vegetables grown in the school gardens are used in the kitchen to prepare meals for all the residents of Heal Paradise. This ensures that they receive a healthy vegetarian diet. At present Heal Paradise is cultivating two acres of land for vegetables. This is being extended to five acres, which will yield a much bigger crop.

  • Other activities

Special Dance Classes to Primary Children

Kumari Naidhruva, an 11th grade high school student, and her mother Mrs Nandini, from Austin Texas, USA are organizing Online dance classes through Google Meet for Primary School children at Heal Paradise every Saturday evening. This reaches 50 students, and includes ballet, hip-hop, cultural dance and more. The first class on 12 February was reported as a “super duper success with every child thoroughly immersed in it”

Staff at Heal know that this will greatly benefit the children as dance helps children to focus, to develop their creativity, and to learn discipline, as well as improve their social skills of sensitivity, understanding, appreciation, and consideration for others. Even through the computer screen it helps physical development and cognitive thinking, and helps use up some of that boundless energy!

Motivational talk on “outside the box” in problem-solving

This January Dr PLN Raju, a volunteer economics teacher at Heal Paradise’s Distance Education Faculty (DEF) came to the Heal Campus to present three sessions to the Level II MEA students on how to improve their ‘Creativity, communication and confidence’. During the three 90-minute sessions the students learnt how to think creativily and and the importance of communicating their ideas in an interesting, innovative way. In the final session he encouraged them to be confident in presenting new ideas, to think “outside the box”, and to take risks when faced with problems and challenges. Dr PLN Raju has been giving lessons via the internet for Level II MEA ((Maths, Economics, Accountancy, English, Informatics Practices) students at Heal Paradise School.

Mega Quiz at Heal School

A mega quiz was conducted at Heal Secondary school in all the subjects. Children from classes 6 to 12 are grouped into different houses and many of the teams participated in this event. They have been given time for preparation. The final round of the quiz went like a grand event, as all of them were very curios about the winning team. This event was organized by one of the volunteers, Mr. Harish who is working in Wipro, Hyderabad.

As a regular practice every year we conduct master Health checkup for newly admitted children. This year in Q4 we have conducted master health checkups.

  • Donation of 36 tablet PCs to Heal School

SANJANA Alluri, a 16-year-old, Grade 11 pupil at Chirec International School, has raised funds to provide 36 high-quality tablets for the students at Heal Paradise School. She did this through a scheme run by the Balamitra Foundation that encourages Indian children from different backgrounds to support and empower each other.

Sanjana raised INR 1,95,500 and this enabled the Balamitra Foundation to buy 36 Lenovo Tablet PCs for Heal school children who are preparing for entrance competitive examinations for higher education. A few are being used to set up a digital library. The tablets have educational tools such as Diksha (a distance-learning app), already uploaded on them so the children can study at home, while complying with Covid restrictions

  • Heal Family Annual Meet

The second Heal Family Day, an online celebration held to showcase Heal’s achievements over the last year, got off to a start on this December, with dancers, singers and musicians from Heal Paradise, Guntur Children’s Village and Bhadrachalam School. Over 200 people joined from India, Australia, the UK, the USA, Spain and Canada.

This year’s event aimed to raise $140,000 to buy 150 solar panels for the Campus, to generate 150kWh electricity, and build on its target of creating a sustainable campus. During the afternoon, children from Heal Paradise demonstrated the measures being taken to generate clean water and fertiliser, and took us onto the roof to show us how solar panels work.

The afternoon began by showing all the improvements made to the school during 2021, including the new equipment purchased from funds raised during 2020’s Family Day. These have been used to develop Heal Paradise’s distance Learning faculties.

The children demonstrated the talents that Heal cultivates among its young occupants. In a particularly moving part of the programme viewers saw the work of the ELOH and the Amputee Centre as a young girl amputee proudly danced to show her new legs. We also saw visually challenged children sing and play musical instruments.

  • My Class Board Software

One of our General Body members is running a company My Class Board providing  school administration software, which is being used by more than 3000 schools in India. He has given the enterprise license of the software for free to HEAL and we have started implementing the same in Heal Paradise premises. We hope to utilize it fully by the end of quarter 4.

  • Celebrations at Heal Paradise
    • Diwali Day

Diwali is a symbolic gesture of victory of good over the bad, people celebrate diwali by lighting diyas. Children are explained the importance of Diwali that is filling light in their life by overcoming darkness in their life.

Children in our school have actively participated in the celebrations by lighting diyas and drawing Rangoli, traditional food is served on this day. All the children and staff agreed to avoid fire crackers for the environmental protection. For the last three years we are avoiding fire crackers in Heal Paradise campus.

  • Children’s Day

In our school we celebrated the Children’s Day by organizing cultural activities. All the activities and games were designed to make both teachers and students interact. Teachers organized the event very well and served a fruit salad prepared by teachers to the children, which is nutritious and gives multi- vitamins, which is required at most in this pandemic time.

  • Village Awareness week

To celebrate Vigilance Awareness Week, which is celebrated in the birth week of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, our school has conducted various competitions, we collaborated with Indane Gas Agency,  which conducted various competitions viz Drawing, Essay, Writing, Slogan. On the last day of (VAW)-2021, we have celebrated the day all drawings, slogan & essays against competition are displayed, students were made aware of the importance of corruption free society, made a pledge to prevent the corruption in all walks of our life and prizes were distributed to the winners.

  • Other activities

Guest lecture on environment protection

Mr Seshu ratnam, an environmentalist, a social worker and founder of Swatcha foundation, he is living with an aim of planting one million plants and inspiring younger generations to do so. As a part of his movement, he came to our school and interacted with children, made children aware of necessity of protecting nature and mother earth and how they can find the purpose of life.

Seminar by Pick a Book foundation

Pick a book is a social community, it is an initiative first started in Sri Lanka, it’s aim is to inculcate reading habit in children. Vijayawada city president of pick a book foundation with other members of the community came to our school and interacted with students, he explained the students about the importance of reading books as our imagination power will increase. Learning based activities have taken place. They have donated story books to the organization.

Orientation program to MEA students

As a part of regular academic activities, to make aware of students what are the opportunities available to them, Gouravi Jartharghar a renowned charted accountant, who is also the co-founder of a Fin-tech startup company named TAX IT HERE, addressed

MEA students who also interacted with her; they got some insights from her. It was very helpful for students as they were informed of the educational and job opportunities available to them.

  • Health Camps

Dental camp for all the children residing in the campus was conducted by Dr Pinnamaneni Siddharta Institute of Dental Sciences, China Avutapalli on 18th Oct, 2021. The doctors have screened all the children and treatment was given to the children having problems. Also, mensural screening camp is conducted by Dr. Swetha from Prasanthi Hospitals, Vijayawada for the secondary school girls on 5th Dec, 2021. She has given orientation on the precautions and corrective steps to be taken by the girls and also on the hygiene to be followed.

Environmental Education
We are also giving utmost priority to the protection of the environment on behalf of that our students have been planting 30 to 50 plants every year on our school premises and also we are maintaining a water harvesting pit to save water. Rainwater harvesting has been done through pits and recycled for gardening and watering the ground Waste is segregated between dry waste and wet waste School is using energy-saving equipment and solar Wastewater from R.o is being harvested.

Children are being thought how to use water economically Environmental literacy is promoted through integration in academics Use of paper is reduced by using I.T solutions Awareness programs are conducted for parents and children on Environmental conservation and cleanliness. Single-use plastic is banned, and cloth bags are stitched in schools with the children and distributed to the public. Environmental protection is integrated with cultural programs. Rallies and marathons are conducted by children for creating awareness for the general public.
